Process
How It's Made
Every Cascade is crafted through three distinct stages in our Winnipeg workshop, combining digital precision with handcrafted finish.
01
Design
Every edge was designed and modeled onto a CAD model, where we can ensure that every board has millimeter precision before it ever gets cut.
02
CNC Machining
This is where Kiln Dried Elm wood is machined using a CNC router. Slowly taking away material until we get a board that meets our specifications.
03
Hand Finish
We trust the CNC to give us exact depths for all our holds, but to give the best grip and feel to the board we hand sand slightly. Giving just the right amount of texture needed for professional training.
Reviews
What Climbers Say
"Overall, this is one of my favourite boards I've trained on. A perfect fit for intermediate and experienced climbers who want to maintain and further their strength — and for climbers who want something nice to look at in their home."
Noah Chabluk
Climbing Instructor / National Competitor
Edge Feel & Comfort
"The smooth wooden holds are a great challenge for grip, the edges aren't too sharp which means your fingers will be tested but allows for longer workouts if desired."
Look & Feel
"10/10 for aesthetics and feel. It's a nice counterpart to the bulky, colourful, plastic hangboards that are mainstream."
Versatility
"I get a good variety of workouts out of it, whether it's simple pull ups or maximum effort dead hangs."
Ease of Setup
"The setup was simple, once the screws are in, the board feels very secure while in use."
Design Philosophy
Every Edge,
Engineered
Ergonomic Pockets — Every pocket features a meticulously routed and hand-sanded radius. By utilizing Red Seal standards, we ensure the lip of every edge is completely uniform providing maximum comfort for your skin so your failure point is your finger strength, not a sharp edge.
Alternating Edge Depths — The Cascade abandons the standard mirror-image layout. Our 6-depth alternating pattern allows climbers to consistently train their finger strength with evenly spaced holds every single hang.
Versatile Holds — Forced finger pockets limit what you are able to train. Instead of reducing the options we have focused specifically on edges that allow you to train what you want. Crimps, open hand holds, or even 2-3 finger training are all possible and comfortable.

Installation
Mounting Guide
-
Hardware Included
All necessary mounting hardware ships with your Cascade
-
Wall Mounting
Locate studs for maximum load capacity. Board supports over 200kg when properly mounted.
-
30 minutes
Typical installation time with basic household tools.
Maintenance
Care Guide
-
After each session
Wipe down with a dry cloth to remove chalk, skin oils, and moisture.
-
Weekly
Light dry brush with a stiff nylon brush to clear chalk from edge depths.
-
Monthly
Inspect mounting hardware for tightness. The sanded and cleaned finish requires no oil or wax — the natural texture improves with use.
-
Avoid direct sunlight
Prolonged UV exposure will fade and dry the wood. Indoor mounting recommended.
Sustainability
Every Cascade is made from responsibly sourced North American hardwoods. We partner with urban lumber reclamation programs to reduce waste and support local forestry — because the mountains we're inspired by deserve to still be standing.
